Development Log: May 2026

Development, Smith's Chronicles

Greetings Blacksmith!

Welcome to another development log, May 2026 edition. There are plenty of updates we can share with you about the development of Smith’s Chronicles.

More Blueprint

Blacksmithing games shouldn’t just have a super-limited selection of items to craft. So we added more items that you will be able to craft and sell, such as a mortar and pestle and a ring handle.

Travelling Merchant

Not only townsfolk and regular customers, but you will also sometimes meet travelling merchants who will request a special item from you; they may only purchase items with specific materials, elements, or enchantments. Not only that, but they will also sell you a limited number of items you won’t find anywhere else, and you will unlock more items as you build a better relationship with them. But they won’t stay forever, so don’t miss the opportunity when you meet them!

Decorating

Not only are we working on a townsfolk’s home interior based on their personality, but we’re also working on a feature where you can redecorate your home. You will be able to place furniture on the floor and the wall. Not only furniture, but you will also be able to display your crafted item in your house. Here is the early look!

Enchantment

We’ve expanded the weather system with new enchantment mechanics.  Ores gathered during certain weather conditions may absorb elemental properties, allowing you to craft enchanted items with unique colors and effects. So, you can try experimenting to discover new attributes and combinations.

Enchantment

That’s all for this month’s update! Hopefully, by reading this, you’re looking forward to the future of Smith’s Chronicles. If you have any feature suggestions or inputs, please let us know by commenting on your ideas in the comments section below!
